Job Description At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better placeFrom the seabed to outer space, you can contribute to work that matters with a company where diversity, equity and inclusion are shared valuesWe're committed to fostering an environment for every teammate that's welcoming, respectful and inclusive, with great opportunity for professional growthFind your future with usBoeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Structures Mechanic to join the F-22 program at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), AlaskaIn this role you will be responsible for performing maintenance repair and upgrades on F-22 systems and structuresYou will utilize aircraft technical orders, publications, blueprints and drawings to perform a variety of maintenance actions on aircraft systems and sub systems including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and enginesPosition Responsibilities:--- Assists with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes.
* Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
* Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
* Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications.
* Assists with performs tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.gjacking, towing, system operations).
* Works under supervisionThis position is expected to be 100% onsiteThe selected candidate will be required to work onsite at JBER, AlaskaThis position requires the ability to obtain a U.SSecret Security Clearance for which the U.SGovernment requires U.SCitizenshipAn interim U.SSecret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.SSecret Clearance Post-Start is requiredBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):--- 2+ years of aircraft maintenance experience
* Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts, requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair
* Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers.
* Must be willing to work variable shifts Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):--- Experience repairing, and servicing military fighter aircraft F-15, F-16, F-18, A-10, F-22, F-35
* 3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience
* 1+ year(s) of 5th generation aircraft maintenance experience
* Experience maintaining and troubleshooting aircraft avionics systems
* Experience drilling, cutting, and fabricating aircraft structural components Typical Education/ Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.gHigh School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.gvocational school/Associate+2 years of related work, Bachelor, etc.)Relocation:
