Mechanic to join the F-22 program at Joint Base
Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), AlaskaIn this role you will be
responsible for performing maintenance repair and upgrades on F-22
systems and structuresYou will utilize aircraft technical orders,
publications, blueprints and drawings to perform a variety of
maintenance actions on aircraft systems and sub systems including
electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and enginesPosition
Responsibilities:--- Assists with disassembly of systems components
to support the correction of failures or implement changes.
* Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and
electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and
repair faulty components.
* Performs validation/verification testing of systems and
components.
* Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to
specifications.
* Assists with performs tasks associated with the safe handling of
a simple aerospace vehicle (e.gjacking, towing, system
operations).
* Works under supervisionThis position is expected to be 100%
onsiteThe selected candidate will be required to work onsite at
JBER, AlaskaThis position requires the ability to obtain a
U.SSecret Security Clearance for which the U.SGovernment requires
U.SCitizenshipAn interim U.SSecret Clearance Pre-Start and final
U.SSecret Clearance Post-Start is requiredBasic Qualifications
(Required Skills/Experience):--- 2+ years of aircraft maintenance
experience
* Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component
troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts,
requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural
modifications and repair
* Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as
test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers,
sheet metal brakes and sheers.
* Must be willing to work variable shifts Preferred Qualifications
(Desired Skills/Experience):--- Experience repairing, and servicing
military fighter aircraft F-15, F-16, F-18, A-10, F-22, F-35
* 3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience
* 1+ year(s) of 5th generation aircraft maintenance experience
* Experience maintaining and troubleshooting aircraft avionics
systems
* Experience drilling, cutting, and fabricating aircraft structural
components Typical Education/ Experience: Education/experience
typically acquired through basic education (e.gHigh School
diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years of related work
experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
(e.gvocational school/Associate+2 years of related work, Bachelor,
etc.)Relocation:
