Job Description:
Summary : Operate a mammography unit to produce images of the
breasts for diagnostic purposes under direction of a physician.
Exhibits strong anatomy knowledge, communication, computer skills,
customer service, documentation review, proficient in FDA
regulation and Medical Imaging. Reports to the Supervisor of the
Unit. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist patient to procedure
room. Explain procedure and position patients in Mammography
Machine. Assist patient into Mammography Machine. Reviews
physician---s request for mammography procedure and identifies the
patient per department policy. Obtains patient history and
documents findings. Maintain Clean Technique. Operate mammography
and tomography machines. Evaluate quality assurance performance.
Monitor performance of mammography and images. Education &
Experience Requirements: Two year degree in Mammography Technology.
One year of experience as Interventional Mammography Technician in
