  • Compact License is accepted!! However, Traveler must apply for AK license ASAP after signing.
  • Years of experience REQ: 2; will screen 1 year
  • First-timers accepted: YES
  • Weekend REQ: Every Other
  • Is on-call REQ? No
  • Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, NICU and Peds
  • Open to accommodating block schedule? Yes, unit does block
  • Guaranteed Hours: Yes, up to 36 hours. All OR nurses and OR Techs on 12-hour shifts are scheduled for an additional 4 hours to help cover breaks and lunches. 12 hour OR nurses and OR Techs will be guaranteed 40 hours per week.
  • Special Requirements: Must be culturally sensitive to Native Population

    • Must apply for AK license ASAP if not already held
    • BCLS and PALS certifications required
    • Weekend work required every other week

      • Guaranteed hours: up to 36 hours per week

        • Unit Specific Information
        • Pediatric floor ratios are 1:4
        • PICU ratios are 1:2
        • Ventilated patients are usually 1:1 due to the geography of the unit
          • Additional Details
          • Travelers may be assigned to PICU with an orientee
          • Locals accepted: No - 100 miles radius rule
          • Pending License accepted: Must have AK license prior to starting for Acute specialties
          • RTO Restrictions: No changes to contracts once signed
