Employee Experience Assistant
The Employee Experience Assistant plays a crucial role in creating
a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for our community at Alyeska
Resort, especially for those living in employee housing. This
position is all about hands-on support, ensuring a clean, safe, and
enjoyable environment where everyone feels at home.
Your role will focus on ensuring high standards of cleanliness and
organization while also providing transportation services and
supporting property management efforts. In this dynamic role,
you'll focus on fostering community spirit and enhancing
satisfaction among your fellow employees. From assisting with
check-in and check-out procedures to prepping linens and driving
the employee shuttle to Anchorage, your contributions will make a
real difference in the day-to-day lives of our team members.

Position Responsibilities
Employee Support & Transportation:
- Keep our staff lounges and cafeteria sparkling clean and
inviting, including daily maintenance of coffee machines.
- Actively monitor common areas for safety hazards, addressing
issues like spills or broken equipment to keep everyone safe.
- Distribute employee notices and bulletins with a friendly
approach, helping keep everyone informed and connected.
- Assist with event set-up and clean-up when applicable, adding
your special touch to our community gatherings and fostering
connections among residents.
- Provide friendly transportation for employees to various
destinations as a registered driver.
- Gather and distribute mail from the People and Culture PO Box.
Housing Support:
- Promote positive relationships among residents while upholding
community guidelines outlined in the Employee Housing Handbook.
- Assist with routine property walks and inspections to ensure a
high standard of living for everyone.
- Help with check-in and check-out processes, ensuring a seamless
transition for incoming and outgoing residents.
- Collaborate with the People & Culture team to prepare rooms for
incoming residents, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from
day one.
- Distribute fresh pillows and linens to incoming residents,
making their accommodations cozy and comfortable.
- Help maintain inventory of supplies and assist in replacing
items when needed.
- Move and set up standard furniture items, like bed frames and
dressers, to ensure everyone's space is just right.
- Keep our housing facilities safe, secure, and sparkling clean,
ensuring a great living experience for all.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks in common areas, like
vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping, to maintain high hygiene
standards.
- Facilitate regular cleaning and maintenance of shared spaces
such as laundry rooms, employee gyms, and outdoor gathering spots.
Property Management Assistance:
- Assist with general maintenance and repairs in employee housing
facilities, keeping our shared areas and resident rooms in tip-top
shape.
- Help with ground maintenance, including mowing, weed whacking,
and garbage collection, keeping our surroundings beautiful.
- Pitch in with snow removal tasks during winter to ensure safe
access to all entryways and walkways, so our employees can get
around with ease. Essential Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in general maintenance, preferably property
maintenance or housekeeping, with the ability to coordinate and
organize multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you
to connect with residents and foster a sense of community.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks and repairs.
- Clean driving record and knowledge of safe driving practices.
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to employee
satisfaction.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs.

Physical demands and work environment: The physical demands and
work environment characteristics described here are representative

- Physical demands: This is a dynamic position that combines
office work with hands-on responsibilities related to employee
housing support. This includes frequent lifting, up to 50 pounds,
and a willingness to assist with light repairs and maintenance
tasks in the employee housing facilities. Bending, stooping,
walking, and standing for extended periods are essential components
of this role.
- Work Environment: This role occasionally involves extended
hours and weekends to accommodate peak business periods. Operating
within a dynamic, fast-paced guest-centric setting, you will
maintain a high level of interaction with staff, employees residing
in housing, and various stakeholders.
