Job Description:
JAG Alaska, Inc. Seward Shipyard is hiring a Machine Shop Foreman &
Inside Machinist.
Periodic travel in Alaska will be required for this position.
JAG Alaska, Inc. Seward Shipyard is seeking a highly skilled and
experienced Machine Shop Foreman & Inside Machinist to join our
team at the Seward Alaska facility. The ideal candidate will
possess a diversified skill set in machine shop operations and have
the ability to manage and lead a team effectively. This role
involves working in physically demanding marine and industrial
environments. Immediate openings are available. Pay DOE - $45 to
$55 Hourly. Hours per week 40 to 60 depending on workload.

POSITION DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS
As the Machine Shop Foreman & Inside Machinist, your
responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- - - -Managing and supervising machine shop operations.

- - - -Overseeing and leading a team of Inside Machinists.
- - - -
- - - -Operating and maintaining various machine shop equipment,
including drill presses, shapers, lathes, milling machines, boring
mills, planers, grinders, turret lathes, and more.

- - - -Dismantling and erecting machinery as needed.
- - - -
- - - -Performing precision machining and lay-out work.
- - - -
- - - -Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring the team follows
safety guidelines.
- - - -
- - - -Meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
- - - -
- - - -Collaborating with project managers and other team members
to ensure successful project completion.
- - - -Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following
requirements:
- - - -Proven experience as an Inside Machinist in a
marine/industrial environment.
- - - -
- - - -Strong leadership and managerial skills.
- - - -
- - - -Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- - - -
- - - -Ability to work in physically demanding conditions,
including confined spaces, heights, and various environmental
conditions.

- - - -Capability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 100 pounds)
and perform repetitive tasks.
- - - -
- - - -Must be a U.S. Citizen or National with a clean background
for a minimum of 10 years.

- - - -Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen.
- - - -
- - - -Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- - - -
- - - -Willingness to travel to different project locations as
needed.
